Empire Builder is aimed at the small businesses market and allows companies to carry out day-to-day operations from entering and printing invoices to chasing customers debts and producing VAT returns.

Suresoft claims users don't have to be computer experts or accountants to operate the system. The system is ready to go straight from the box and consists of 32-bit accounts software designed for Windows 95/98 & NT.

The service was developed over an 18-month period and further add-ons - including a full euro compliant version - are expected next year.

'We see ourselves as working more and more towards producing cost effective e-commerce solutions for the smaller business that fully integrates to their business accounts,' said Suresoft product manager Gareth Connor.

Empire Builder will retail for £99.00 including VAT and this includes a full user manual and one month of telephone support.
