Zip-Linq has been making its Road Warrior kits for some years now, and this is the latest iteration featuring a total of 10 items for the business traveller.
The complete contents are as follows: Mini optical mouse, flexible USB light, stereo earphones with microphone, USB 2.0 male to mini cable, USB 2.0 male to female cable, Cat5e Gigabit ready patch cable, Cat6 crossover adapter, and three male to male USB adaptors (of various sizes).
With these items you can connect to the internet via a network or dial-up connection, connect any type of USB device to a laptop, use a decent mouse instead of a track pad, and see what you're typing in low light conditions.
The cables and headphones use Zip-Linq's retractable cable technology to ensure that everything stays tidy on the road. Although not perfect, this cabling method certainly saves space and makes untangling cables history.
Each cable extends to a maximum 48in, except the Cat5e cable which extends to
60in.
All the items are stored in a black faux-leather case, roughly the size of a
hardback book. Ditch this, though, and the space and weight is significantly
reduced.
The only downside is the dimness of the USB light; a brighter light would have been better.
