BT launches £15 call package for SMEs

New tariff promises to help small firms save money in the downturn

BT has stepped up its campaign to attract small businesses with a new fixed-line package offering unlimited call minutes to UK landlines, UK mobiles, international destinations and 0845/0870 numbers for just £15 a month.

BT Business One Plan Inclusive requires a minimum yearly spend and commitment to two core products, the firm said, and companies choosing to take the package on a VoIP line will pay just £12.50 a month.

The telco said that managing costs is a key priority for small businesses in the current downturn, but that many efficiencies can still be found. Business One Plan allows customers to deal with all service and billing enquiries through one number, and to receive one bill for all services.

Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business, claimed that the new service would "shake up the market".

"Businesses are continuously striving to manage their costs better, but also need to stay connected to their customers to thrive," he said. "By removing the worry that unexpected costs can bring, companies now have more time to focus on what they do best and look after their business."

The unlimited package is available to customers of BT Business One Plan, One Plan Plus and One Plan Traditional.
